Serial killers have always awaken in our minds strong and conflicting feelings. Criminology has always dedicated to this topic a particular attention and bigger efforts to this respect other sectors of criminality. Why? Reasons can be many: the particular violence of the crimes, the number of the victims that tends to raise until the killer is caught, but above all… the serial killer looks often as “normal” person and his crimes are always without a serious reason. For this each time that a new serial killer comes out in the news we all feel vulnerable. Here begins the fear, the anguish to be a possible prey.. but also the curiosity that pushes us to analyse the most deep and dangerous abysses of the human psyche….
